Make sure to attend the upcoming Cub Scout Pack 1601 Spring Open House to ask questions and learn more about the wonderful scouting program for boys on Tuesday June 08, 2010 @ 7pm-8pm at Leescorner Elementary's cafeteria.

Scouts have the opportunity to make friends for life in the pack. Four of the most fun activities each you are the Raingutter Regatta, Pinewood Derby, Laser Tag Night, and the Family Campout. We will be setting up our Raingutter Regatta for you to try out with sailbouts made in the past by other scouts.

The time commitment is that there are meetings for the den twice a month and once a month with the pack as a whole (with all the other older boys). The den meetings are broken into two different types. Once a month you will meet at the Lees Corner Cafeteria with the den to go over requirements for the advancement and once a month you will on a "Go See It" where you and your Den might go for a hike at a park, tour a fire station, or got a museum or some other equally neat place.

Registration fees are $65 for the year. This includes a copy of the Tiger Cub Handbook, a Pack 1601 T-Shirt, a subscription to the official Scouting magazine "Boys Life", and a lot of other activities throughout the year that you and your family can enjoy.

The Pack 1601 handbook is available for download. Make sure to read through this before making a decision as it outlines the various activities and requirements to become a cub scout.
